Rachel joined Parachute in 2019 and assists with the charity’s work in knowledge translation and injury prevention program planning. She translates current injury prevention research into effective resources for the public and has expertise in project design and management, health promotion, data analysis and research. She co-ordinates Smart Hockey and National Teen Driver Safety Week.

Much of Rachel’s work has focused on research in the public health field. In her previous role with the Injury Prevention Research Office at St. Michael’s Hospital, Rachel studied Traumatic Brain Injuries and health patterns over the life course, as well as head injury in sport. Previously, Rachel worked with the Ontario Tobacco Research Unit, York Region and Youth Diversion, continuously building her passion for public health and injury prevention.
