Nicola (Nicky) Lightstone – RP, CCC, MBA – is a Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified Counsellor and the founder of Guidepost Psychotherapy. With a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Master of Business (Sport Management) and more than a decade of experience in the charitable sector, Nicky brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and nonprofit leadership to her work.
Before becoming a therapist, Nicky spent over ten years working with amateur sport and charitable organizations in roles focused on events, fundraising and partnerships. Her experience has given her a deep appreciation for the impact that mission-driven organizations have on individuals and communities and a commitment to strengthening that work through thoughtful governance and collaboration. In addition to her clinical practice, Nicky provides consulting and training services on mental health and staff well-being for organizations and community programs. She is passionate about fostering inclusive, compassionate communities and believes that meaningful change happens when people feel supported, connected, and empowered.
