To support older adults in moving more at home, Later Life Training developed movement snack videos. These are 20-to-30-minute videos posted three times per day on Facebook and YouTube to encourage everyone to move more throughout the day especially if you’re not able to get outside.

Suggested action steps to host activity

Follow and open the YouTube. The Movement Snack videos uploaded by Later Life Training are all named by date and type of activity covered. There are well over 200 videos posted.

The videos introduce a wide range of topics such as sway n stretch, power, balance, strength, etc. Take time and select the videos that you are interested in. It is best to start from the beginning of the Movement Snack series. 

Follow the instructors’ guidance from the video. Engage with older adults by providing support and clarification on video instructions.
