Parachute is seeking support from the Canada Summer Works program for a Program Planner, Road Safety and Safe Mobility to work between April and the end of August for a period of 14 weeks to support the work of the road safety and safe mobility programs.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The student will report to the Director, Programs and perform the following programming responsibilities (not limited to):
- General administration duties
- Assist the Programs Team in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of several initiatives such as Canadian Youth Road Safety Week, Vision Zero, Safe Kids Week and our Change for Good Roads Initiative.
- Assist the Programs Team in implementing our Vision Zero program and Government Relations support plan (i.e., including contacting municipalities and program partners to set up meetings, provide resources, offer Vision Zero related support)
- Coordinate planning and logistics related to Safe Kids Week and Canadian Youth Road Safety programming, and developing of community partnerships (e,g, police/youth groups, road safety orgs)
- Create new program content for program websites, including social media media campaigns and community partner engagement, including other youth.
- Maintain and enhance data management systems
