As a research assistant at the Laboratoire piétons et espaces urbains, he contributes to research projects on pedestrian safety and the study of environments conducive to walking. These research projects have covered a wide range of topics, such as accessibility and safety around public transit systems for vulnerable pedestrians, pedestrian safety on pedestrian streets, and the effectiveness of traffic calming measures around schools.

Philippe is currently a master’s student in urban studies at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). He previously obtained his bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He worked under the direction of Parachute’s road safety colleague Marie-Soliel.
