Issue and proposed solutions
A young changemaker with the City of Vaughan Transportation Youth Ambassador Program has raised concerns about a sunken manhole and cracked pavement at the intersection of Weston Road and LaRocca Avenue/Comdel Boulevard. The sunken manhole creates an unexpected bump for vehicles, posing a hazard to drivers. To address the issue, the young leader has emailed York Region Transportation detailing the safety concerns and requesting that the manhole be raised and the pavement repaired to ensure a smoother and safer driving experience.
Outcome:
York Region has responded indicating that the concern has been directed to the appropriate staff for further review and action.
