This individual will be responsible for supporting stakeholder engagement, knowledge translation and project development in our Fall Prevention programs.   

The person in this role co-ordinates projects based on the goals and objectives of the fall prevention portfolio, with a focus on the prevention of falls across the lifespan. The Co-ordinator supports the Director, Fall Prevention Program on program development and implementation of fall prevention projects and programs. The Co-ordinator develops, facilitates and maintains relationships with a wide network of fall prevention stakeholders. The Co-ordinator provides key technology support for the fall prevention programs including website content management, stakeholder engagement and online meetings and webinars.

Responsibilities

Knowledge Translation 

  • Build engagement through knowledge brokering with the communities of practice 
  • Develop and update work plans, terms of references and key community-of-practice-related documents
  • Generate, analyze and use web analytics and other evaluation results to produce program reports
  • Organize and facilitate webinars with input from the Webinar Subgroup and complete post webinar tasks (e.g. editing the recording, posting, emailing presenters and participants, gathering evaluation data)
  • Develop and disseminate newsletters for communities of practice and campaigns
  • Provide online training to webinar speakers for presentations and provide follow up support to members with responses to their questions

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Facilitate and support core team, work groups and private groups teleconference meetings, preparing agendas, meeting packages and minutes, providing project updates as needed
  • Develop and implement recruitment, engagement and promotional strategies for fall prevention with input from key communities and team members
  • Co-ordinate and manage projects and tasks among consultants as necessary
  • Represent and promote the program in a variety of settings including webinars, meetings and conferences
  • Liaise with various stakeholders including researchers, health practitioners, policy-makers, administrators, service providers, government employees, caregivers and adult groups

Technology 

  • Manage all website content and provide technical support for all community of practice members
  • Oversee all content on bilingual website, Facebook and Twitter feed
  • Act as liaison between Parachute and the website hosting organizatio

Qualifications

  • University degree in a related field and/or related academic and work experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a knowledge co-ordination role or equivalent, preferably in research or a health services environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to write and develop audience-specific materials 
  • Experience with knowledge translation / mobilization strategies
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual. Capable of planning, executing and completing responsibilities independently and on time
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and online communications platforms (website, Zoom, Smartsheets, Twitter)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and positive attitude
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is an asset
  • French language is an asset
